Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for Season 2 of “Surface,” the gripping psychological thriller series featuring Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The show will return on Friday, February 21, with fresh episodes airing every Friday until April 11, 2025.

What happens in the Surface Season 2 trailer?

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the show spotlights me, Sophie played by Mbatha-Raw, as I delve into London’s enigmatic and influential elite family to unearth the mysteries surrounding my mother’s demise. In Season 2, I’ll be working alongside newcomers Phil Dunster, Gavin Drea, Rupert Graves, Tara Fitzgerald, Nina Sosanya, along with Joely Richardson, Freida Pinto, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Millie Brady, who are all set to return. Can’t wait to see what unfolds!

The series known as Surface was developed and penned by Veronica West, who holds the roles of showrunner and executive producer. Mbatha-Raw, Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, and Sam Miller are among the executive producers. Ed Lilly, Jon East, Lynsey Miller, and Alrick Riley direct the latest season. This production is a collaboration between Apple Studios and Hello Sunshine.

In the fresh setting of a different realm, the latest installment of Surface finds Sophie journeying to London. Her mission: unearthing the mysteries that shroud her past, as amnesia has left gaps in her memory. Armed with hints and a wealth of ill-gotten assets, she ingeniously infiltrates high society in Britain. However, a tantalizing link to an enchanting heiress surfaces.
