The star-studded cast includes David Corenswet portraying both Superman and Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult stepping into the role of Lex Luthor. The movie is slated for a theater release on July 11, 2025.

In true James Gunn fashion, he reimagines the classic superhero within the new DC universe, combining grand action, wit, and emotion seamlessly. The result is a Superman characterized by his compassion and unwavering faith in humanity’s goodness.

What do we know about the Superman movie’s Hall of Justice?

In a recent chat with Brandon Davis, it was clarified that Brandon confirmed during the interview that the Justice League, an unfinished superhero team whose headquarters is the Hall of Justice, is owned by tech mogul Maxwell Lord, played by Sean Gunn in the series. The Justice League consists of three superheroes: Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern.

James Gunn pointed out that the Hall of Justice, which is still under construction, belongs to Maxwell Lord, who also controls the Justice League.

Before Sean Gunn took up the role, Pedro Pascal had portrayed the character in the film Wonder Woman 1984. In the comics, Maxwell Lord is a prominent businessman who started off as an ally to the Justice League, but eventually became their adversary.

James Gunn serves as both writer and director for the movie titled Superman, which is inspired by DC characters initially conceptualized by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Joining the cast are Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teshmacher, Anthony Carrigan as Metarmorpho, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, and Neva Howell as Martha Kent. The ensemble also includes Alan Tudyk, Michael Rooker, and Grace Chan. Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther serve as executive producers for this production.
