At last, there’s a fresh poster and international preview trailer for the long-awaited Superman film from DC Studios. This film kicks off the DC Universe’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters epic tale.
James Gunn, known for his unique approach, brings a fresh take on the original superhero within the DC universe. He combines grand action, humor, and emotion to create a Superman characterized by empathy and faith in human kindness, as suggested by the plot summary.

What is Superman’s China release date?
Warner Bros. has made it known that the upcoming Superman film is set to premiere in Chinese cinemas on July 11, 2025, synchronizing with its U.S. theater debut. The main characters will include David Corenswet portraying Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult stepping into the role of Lex Luthor.
As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming film is masterminded by none other than James Gunn, who’s both writing and directing. This movie is inspired by iconic DC characters brought to life by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The stellar cast includes Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell. Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther are serving as executive producers. Behind the scenes, we’ve got Henry Braham handling the cinematography, David Fleming composing the music, and editors William Hoy and Craig Alpert contributing their expertise.
