Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted the trailer for “Super/Man: Chronicles of Christopher Reeve“, a documentary that delves into the life and enduring impact of the esteemed actor, Christopher Reeve.

The documentary, titled “Man You Knew,” will premiere in cinemas on September 21, with a special screening on September 25 to honor Reeve’s birthday. What to expect in Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story?

As a dedicated gamer diving into the world of documentaries, I’m excited to share that the focus of this film will be on Reeve’s remarkable journey from obscurity to icon as Clark Kent/Superman, and his relentless pursuit to discover a cure for the spinal cord injuries he suffered in the heart-wrenching horse riding accident of 1995. This captivating documentary includes rare footage of the late actor and his beloved wife, Dana Reeve, alongside interviews with their children, Matthew, Alexandra, and William Reeve. It also sheds light on his profound friendship with the legendary actor and comedian, Robin Williams.

In 2004, at the age of 52, Brandon Routh, famously known for portraying Superman in four films, passed away.

“Following his transformation into a quadriplegic, he emerged as an inspiring figurehead and crusader for spinal cord injury research, disability rights, and care. Simultaneously, he pursued his career in cinema, both on-screen and off, and prioritized his cherished family. This documentary showcases unseen home videos, a wealth of personal archival materials, and exclusive interviews with Reeve’s three children about their father, as well as A-list Hollywood actors who worked alongside and knew him. The film is a poignant and vivid cinematic portrayal of Reeve’s extraordinary life.”

Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story is produced by Passion Pictures and Misfits Entertainment.
