Sundeep Kishan REACTS to Food Safety Department's raid on his restaurant: 'We are donating 4 lakhs worth of...'

As a dedicated follower of Sundeep Kishan‘s career and someone who has watched his growth as an actor, I believe that the recent controversy surrounding his restaurant, Vivaha Bhojanambu, is unfortunate but not entirely unexpected in the chaotic world of public scrutiny.

Sundeep Kishan, a Telugu actor presently featuring in Dhanush’s film “Raayan” (released on July 26), spoke out regarding the dispute concerning his Hyderabad restaurant. According to him, it was just a standard health inspection.

Sundeep Kishan REACTED to accusations by Food Safety department

At the seven Vivaha Bhojanambu outlets, Sundeep shared that they give away approximately 50 food packets each day. This translates to around 350 free food packets daily. Considering the cost of ₹50 per packet, their monthly donation amounts to roughly ₹4 lakhs. With such a significant contribution in terms of free food, Sundeep pondered, why bother cutting costs on trivial expenses like a single rice packet?

He stated that there is no need to do rice-bag fraud and all and that he’s donating much more than that through the seven outlets of the restaurant he has.

According to an article on Gulte.com, Sundeep stated that his restaurant saw increased bills following the inspection. He made this comment to underscore that the restaurant’s reputation for excellent food remains unscathed, and patrons continue to trust in the quality they provide.

Sundeep Kishan’s controversy

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: I was surprised to discover that the restaurant Vivaha Bhojanambu, which is owned by Sundeep Kishan in Telangana, had been found to be violating several food safety rules by none other than the Commissioner of Food Safety Department.

Based on the tweet, around 25 kg of Chitti Muthyalu rice had to be thrown away since it needed to be used by the end of 2022 (as suggested by the best-before date). Additionally, 500g of grated coconut were discarded due to the discovery of synthetic food coloring in them.

The inspection revealed standing water in the kitchen’s drainpipes as well. Sadly, there was no record of water testing for the foamy water utilized in cooking and presentation.

Previously, Raayan actor expressed his thoughts in a lengthy message on X (previously known as Twitter), following the allegations leveled against him by government authorities on July 10th.

Sundeep asserted that the rice bag past its expiration date was purchased during a quality check and remained unwused in cooking. Contrarily, Kishan stated that many of the images shared did not originate from his restaurant.

“Team #VivahaBhojanambu has earned a devoted customer base through our high-quality food and sincere service over the past eight years. We deeply appreciate your loyalty and will always strive to deserve your love.”
