Even though the Fourth of July has passed, the fireworks are set to persist! It’s once again summertime, marking the arrival of Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ). This year, get ready for an exhilarating ride as we witness some of the world’s finest speedrunners reunite and showcase their skills on a diverse range of classic and modern games. Consistent with tradition, they’ll be displaying their talents for charity, captivating viewers from around the globe on Twitch.
Summer Games Done Quick 2025 has once again set up shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota, bringing a full week of live speedrunning excitement! This year, funds raised will support Doctors Without Borders. BloodThunder aims to complete this game in less than 90 minutes in an upcoming run that is sure to become a timeless piece of gaming history.
4:20PM – Avowed
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve always looked forward to Obsidian Entertainment’s epic RPGs gracing GDQ events throughout the years. Now, it’s finally time for Avowed to make its grand entrance, less than half a year after its initial release in February. With countless character classes and endless possibilities in dialogue branches, I can’t wait to witness this game being wrapped up within an hour. What a fascinating challenge that promises to be!
5:28PM – Beat Saber
On the opening day of Game Day Quarterly (GDQ), Kungfufruitcup typically doesn’t start the rhythmic segments until later in the week. However, this year she’s offering everyone an early treat by playing Beat Saber! With years of experience under her belt, she’s excited to put on a spectacular Expert+ performance for the crowd. So, join us on the dance floor and let the rhythm sweep over you!
