Sudheer Babu SLAMS Arshad Warsi for his remarks on Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD: 'It's never okay to badmouth...'

As a dedicated follower of the Telugu film industry who has witnessed the meteoric rise of Prabhas from his humble beginnings to the global icon he is today, I must express my dismay at the recent remarks made by Arshad Warsi about our beloved Baahubali actor.

In response to Arshad Warsi’s recent comments about Prabhas’ performance in Kalki 2898 AD, Sudheer Babu voiced his disapproval and found it surprising that such unprofessional behavior would come from an actor.

On his social media platforms, Sudheer Babu expressed, “It’s fine to offer constructive criticism, but it’s never acceptable to speak negatively. I didn’t anticipate such unprofessional behavior from Arshad Warsi.” Additionally, he added that Prabhas’ reputation is beyond petty comments made by small-minded individuals. Here’s a look at his post!

More recently, Bollywood star Arshad Warsi spoke on a podcast hosted by Samdish Bhatia. During their conversation, he was asked to discuss movies that didn’t appeal to him. In response, the Munna Bhai MBBS actor mentioned Nag Ashwin’s science fiction film Kalki 2898 AD as one of those films.

Arshad Warsi commended Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Ashwatthama, but he criticized Prabhas and his acting by expressing disappointment. He stated, “I feel quite disheartened, Prabhas. Why did he play like a clown? Why? I wish to see Mad Max instead. I wish to see Mel Gibson there. What’s this transformation you’ve given, it’s something I can never comprehend; I just don’t understand why they would make such choices.”

1. Waris’ comments towards the actor from Baahubali have certainly attracted a lot of criticism, even prompting the initial director, Ajay Bhupathi, to criticize him in return.

Director Ajay Bhupathi, famed for movies such as RX 100 and Mangalavaaram, expressed his admiration for Prabhas in a social media post. He stated that Prabhas is not only a man who has given everything but also one who is willing to do anything to bring Indian cinema to a global audience, a source of national pride.

Additionally, he voiced his criticism towards Warsi, noticing what seemed like envy towards Prabhas and Kalki in his gaze. Take a look at his post below!

In the year 2898 AD, the movie titled “Kalki” hit the screens, featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. This science fiction film with a dystopian backdrop was released just this June. The film was directed by Nag Ashwin and draws inspiration from the myths of ancient Hindu epics such as the Mahabharata and the prophecy of Lord Vishnu’s tenth incarnation, Kalki.

2898 AD’s Kalki production boasts a notable ensemble cast including Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, and Saswata Chatterjee in significant parts. Furthermore, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, and Dulquer Salmaan are also part of the movie, appearing in brief, special roles.
