Sadie Sink is opening up about Stranger Things Season 5.
Stranger Things Season 5, which will be the final season of the ultra-popular Netflix series, is expected to be released in 2025. Sink is reprising her role as Max Mayfield in the show’s last outing, which wrapped filming in December 2024.
What did Sadie Sink say about Stranger Things Season 5?
Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Sink explained how Stranger Things Season 5 was “hard to shoot.”
Our crew just worked so hard every single day,” she said. “Us, as actors, we’re not there every day, but the crew was for that entire year. With that, and with the material that we’re working with where it’s such a big show, you go up and down. Your emotions just kind of shift a lot. But, definitely, we were all on the same page during that final push in the last month, where it’s like, ‘This is hard, this has been a tough year, but oh my god, I don’t want it to end.’
Discussing the challenges faced during the last day of shooting, Sink further highlighted the impressive character developments and acting talents showcased in the upcoming finale of Stranger Things.
“I think everyone did such an incredible job, truly,” she explained. “The overall thing I’ll say is that this is the season where you really get to see all of the former child actors as adult actors. The Duffers have always done a great job of meeting us where we’re at with the material. Just how much everyone has grown as performers, in this cast. There are some really amazing performances and arcs. I’m so proud of everyone.”
