Lionsgate has formally declared that the 4K version of “Stir of Echoes,” starring Kevin Bacon in a supernatural horror film, will be released, marking the celebration of its 25th anniversary.

When is the Stir of Echoes 4K release date?

The 4K version of “The Stir of Echoes” is scheduled to hit shelves on December 10, 2024. This high-definition release will be available in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and digital formats, all bundled together. Back in 1999, I found myself immersed in a movie titled Stir of Echoes, penned and directed by the talented David Koepp. It’s an adaptation of Richard Matheson’s 1958 novel with the same name. The cast included Kevin Bacon, Kathryn Erbe, Illeana Douglas, Kevin Dunn, and Jennifer Morrison. This movie follows the tale of a telephone worker, played by Bacon, who started experiencing strange visions after being hypnotized by his sister-in-law.

In simple terms, the movie’s synopsis introduces us to Tom Witzky (played by Kevin Bacon), an ordinary blue-collar worker and family man. However, his mundane life is about to take a dramatic turn as he encounters another world. Despite his skepticism towards the supernatural, something supernatural seems to be drawn to him. After being hypnotized at a party, Tom undergoes changes that he can’t explain. He starts experiencing unexplained visions and hearing voices he can’t ignore. As these horrifying visions grow stronger, Tom comes to understand that they are parts of a puzzle, fragments of a crime that need solving.
