HBO has officially revealed the title and release date for the Jesse Armstrong movie marking his first venture into feature-length directing. The film, a part of the Succession creator’s portfolio, is currently under production in Park City, Utah and is expected to be completed this week.
Now known as Mountainhead, this upcoming HBO film will revolve around a gathering of billionaire companions amidst the backdrop of a global emergency unfolding. Preliminary images have been unveiled, offering a sneak peek at the principal cast, with Emmy nominee Steve Carell (The Office, The Patient) portraying Randall in the lead role.

Mountainhead is set to premiere on Saturday, May 31 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time on HBO, with the option to stream it on Max. The main cast includes Ramy Youssef (known for Ramy and Poor Things) as Jeff, Jason Schwartzman (of Bored to Death fame) as Hugo Van Yalk, and Cory Michael Smith (recognized from Saturday Night Live and May December) as Venis. Other notable actors in supporting roles are Hadley Robinson as Hester, Andy Daly as Casper, Ali Kinkade as Berry, Daniel Oreskes as Dr. Phipps, David Thompson as Leo, Ami MacKenzie as Janine, and Ava Kostia as Paula.
