Stellar Blade Reportedly in Development for Nintendo Switch 2

Based on a recent report by PlayForum, it’s been revealed that Shift Up is considering the creation of a Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Stellar Blade, following the game’s successful PC launch. While a Shift Up representative has yet to confirm a Nintendo Switch 2 release for Stellar Blade, the possibility aligns with their strategic plans up until 2027.

SHIFT UP is planning to unveil a sequel to the game “Stellar Blade” and the action RPG titled “Project Spirits” by 2027. These games are part of SHIFT UP’s strategy for expanding their intellectual property, which also includes “Goddess of Victory: NIKKE” and an expansion for “Stellar Blade” on various platforms. If a Nintendo Switch 2 version of “Stellar Blade” is in the works, it would align with the studio’s ambitions to broaden the reach of the game.

The action-adventure game, “Stellar Blade,” is now accessible for both PlayStation 5 and PC users through Steam and Epic Games Store. Interestingly, within five days of the PC release on June 11th, the game managed to sell over 3 million copies! To mark this achievement, SHIFT UP distributed two Nintendo Switch consoles each to around 300 employees as a token of gratitude.

In addition to the standard version, you can also opt for a Completes Edition which includes:

1. The digital game itself – Twin Expansion Pack, containing DLCs for NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
2. A CD-key for a Stellar Blade costume in the mobile game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
3. Fluffy Bear Pack drone cosmetics.
4. Planet Diving Suit (Captain) for Eve, which is presumably another game or software.

In conjunction with its PC launch, Shift Up also rolled out an update for Stellar Blade on June 11th. This update introduced enhancements to the Photo Mode and added a function for saving presets. EVE, the character, received three fresh facial expressions, as well as four additional poses – one each for EVE and Lily. Additionally, the update allows for the use of up to six lights in the Photo Mode, providing players with increased customization options.
