Startup Singam: When and where to watch Tamil-language show inspired from Shark Tank India

For quite a while now, Shark Tank India has been a popular TV program, offering a platform for business owners and others alike to present their ventures. Given its growing popularity, it’s no surprise that a Tamil adaptation of the same concept is scheduled to air soon as well.

Starting January 26, 2025, at 10 AM, the Tamil-language program titled “Startup Singam” will follow a similar format as “Shark Tank.” This exciting new show is scheduled to air on Vijay TV. The channel announced this upcoming broadcast through their social media accounts.

In their latest post, the creators revealed a teaser for the upcoming series, with the slogan, “Experience Tamil Nadu’s inaugural startup reality show, connecting groundbreaking concepts to forward-thinking investors. Nurturing startups, boosting MSME growth, and crafting success tales on prime-time television.

As an over-the-moon enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement about Startup Singam! This incredible series will span a total of 13 episodes, airing every Sunday from January 26 onwards. Each episode promises to showcase three passionate entrepreneurs presenting their innovative ideas to seasoned business tycoons or investors. Following these pitches, these esteemed professionals will offer valuable feedback or even invest in the entrepreneurs’ groundbreaking ventures! Can’t wait to see who makes it big!

The new reality series is going to stream on Disney+ Hotstar as well. Additionally, Angelin B will be hosting this show, which was reportedly applied for by 1500 people, with only 50 making it to the final cut according to The Indian Express.

For those unfamiliar, Shark Tank India is a program similar to the American show Shark Tank that started airing in 2009. The Indian adaptation of this show debuted in 2021, and it can be watched on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.

In the initial run of the series, we saw business tycoons such as Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Namitha Thapar, and others take center stage. As the program embarked on its 4th season, commencing on January 6, 2025, it introduced fresh faces to the panel, with Sahiba Bali and Ashish Solanki assuming hosting duties.
