Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Sets Earlier Disney+ Release Date

As a die-hard Star Wars fan with memories of the original trilogy etched deep into my childhood, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming series, Skeleton Crew! The prospect of four kids embarking on an intergalactic adventure is not only reminiscent of my own youthful dreams but also promises a fresh take on the Star Wars universe.


It’s been officially announced by Lucasfilm that the release date for the eagerly awaited Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series on Disney+ has been adjusted. Alongside this update, they’ve also unveiled a fresh teaser, showcasing Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law portraying a character using the Force named Jod Na Nawood.

The storyline traces the escapades of four children as they uncover a puzzling secret within what appeared to be a secure home planet. Subsequently, they find themselves in a foreign and perilous galaxy, striving to return home. Along the way, they encounter unexpected friends and adversaries, embarking on an exhilarating journey far beyond their wildest dreams.

When is the new Skeleton Crew release date?

The initial release date for Skeleton Crew was set for December 3, but now, the first two episodes will air a day earlier on Disney+, specifically on Monday, December 2 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) or 6 p.m. Pacific Time (PT). Following this, new episodes will be made available every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT for the rest of the season.

The upcoming eight-episode series is set to unfold following the events depicted in Return of the Jedi. Joining Law, the principal cast members are: Ravi Cabot-Conyers playing Wim, Ryan Kiera Armstrong portraying Fern, Kyriana Kratter as KB, Robert Timothy Smith as Neel, Tunde Adebimpe taking on the role of Wendle, Kerry Condon for Fara, and Nick Frost as the droid SM 33.

The TV show titled “Skeleton Crew” is developed and supervised by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford. This series boasts a team of renowned directors, including Jon Watts, Daniel Kwan from the film “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, Daniel Scheinert also from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, Jake Schreier known for “Beef” and “Thunderbolts”, David Lowery famous for “The Greet Knight”, Lee Isaac Chung behind “Minari” and “Twisters”, and Bryce Dallas Howard recognized for her work on “The Mandalorian”.
