Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Returns to Theaters for 20th Anniversary!

Lucasfilm has officially disclosed that the classic “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” will be returning to cinemas for a limited run. The 2005 film marked the conclusion of George Lucas’ prequel Star Wars saga. Moreover, they have unveiled a fresh poster for this rerelease, designed by graphic artist Matt Ferguson.

Set in a time long after the Clone Wars, this movie follows the valiant Jedi Knights commanding a vast clone army in a galaxy-wide conflict against the Separatists. However, when the malevolent Sith reveal an age-old scheme to dominate the galaxy, the Republic disintegrates and out of its ruins emerges the tyrannical Galactic Empire. The once noble Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker succumbs to the dark side of the Force, transforming into Darth Vader, the Emperor’s new disciple. As a result, the Jedi Order suffers heavy losses, with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master Yoda going into hiding.

To honor its 20th anniversary, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is returning to cinemas across the U.S. and selected international locations for a week starting April 25. Moreover, during this exclusive screening, the movie will be presented in 4DX format for the very first time.
