Star Wars: Hunters to go offline in October

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got some disappointing news to share about Star Wars: Hunters, the mobile shooter that’s been a part of my gaming universe for quite some time. NaturalMotion and Zynga have recently announced that they will be discontinuing the game this October. The final update for the game is scheduled for April, after which it will no longer be playable. So, fellow gamers, mark your calendars and cherish these remaining months as we bid farewell to Star Wars: Hunters.

In a message to players, it was announced that the closure of Star Wars: Hunters is scheduled for October 1, 2025. Although the development team emphasized that this decision wasn’t taken lightly, they didn’t provide a clear explanation for the shutdown. Before the game ceases to exist, an update on April 15 will be released, introducing Tuya as the final character addition. Additionally, all in-game transactions will be disabled with this update.

2024 saw the release of Star Wars: Hunters on both iOS and Android devices. At one point, it was planned to also release this game on PC, but it appears that plan has been abandoned. Zynga is not offering refunds for recently bought Crystals or Arena Passes, but they advise players to use them up before the final update arrives on April 15.

The newest multiplayer game from Star Wars: Hunters has been cancelled. Yesterday, it was made public that the development studio behind it, Mountaintop Studios, along with their project Spectre Divide, are closing down.
