Star Wars: Game of Thrones Star Talks Taking Over Late Ray Stevenson’s Ahsoka Role

As a gamer, I can’t contain my excitement! I, Rory McCann, am stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll in Season 2 of Star Wars: Ahsoka. It’s an honor to be taking over from the late, talented Ray Stevenson. I can’t help but feel a bit daunted by the size of his shoes, but I’m ready to make this role my own and do justice to the character and the series.

In a recent conversation with ComicBook, McCann expressed his thoughts about taking over from Stevenson. He feels it’s appropriate to continue Skoll’s storyline rather than ending it abruptly. Furthermore, he expresses optimism that fans will appreciate his portrayal and strives to deliver a performance worthy of Stevenson’s.

As a fellow gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about continuing his storyline rather than abruptly ending it. We’ve tackled similar challenges in the past, and I’m eagerly anticipating the response from fans. Right now, I’m focusing on getting into the right mindset for this new adventure. Let me tell you, it feels absolutely incredible – just imagine a kid from the ’70s and ’80s, who used to watch the first games with his dad, now wielding a lightsaber at night! It’s nothing short of exhilarating.

McCann shared insights into his preparation for the approaching season, detailing the differences between honing skills with lightsabers compared to traditional swords, as seen in Game of Thrones.

McCann remarked, “Thrones has been quite useful in this regard. The same type of movements, the same defensive maneuvers.” However, he added, “It doesn’t have that captivating sound like Thrones does, I must say. Oh my goodness… Lightsabers are lighter, but remember, the swords from Thrones were actually stunt swords and you need to imagine they’re much heavier than they appear. It’s all make-believe, essentially. It’s all incredibly thrilling.

In the first season of Ahsoka, Stevenson played the character Skoll, a fact that occurred shortly after the actor’s demise. More recently, it was revealed that McCann would take on the role of Skoll in season 2, but as yet, there is no definite timeline for when audiences can expect to see him in action, since Ahsoka Season 2 does not currently have a scheduled release date.
