As a fellow movie enthusiast who missed out on attending Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, Japan, don’t worry – there’s a wealth of footage, updates, and insights available online about who was present, what was announced, and more exciting tidbits. One of the most anticipated reveals was a sneak peek at the upcoming film, The Mandalorian & Grogu, scheduled for release in cinemas next year.
After three thrilling and captivating seasons on Disney+’s “Star Wars” series, “The Mandalorian,” featuring Din Djarin and Grogu, anticipation for the upcoming movie is sky-high. The show has significantly shaken up the “Star Wars” universe, boosting Pedro Pascal’s fame even more, and making Grogu a highly recognizable character in the entire “Star Wars” franchise. Fans eagerly await to see what’s next for this dynamic duo.
Up on stage for the segment appeared Pedro Pascal, fresh face in the franchise, esteemed actress Sigourney Weaver, mastermind behind The Mandalorian Jon Favreau, the irresistibly cute BDX Droids, and even Grogu himself, or rather, a mechanical representation of the small, force-sensitive Mandalorian apprentice foundling! After three seasons, our dynamic duo is transitioning their escapades to the silver screen, offering viewers sneak peeks of Pascal and Weaver in costume and providing some hints about what lies ahead in the upcoming movie.
This scene featured Rotta the Hutt, Grogu displaying his abilities, and Din Djarin engaged in combat against an AT-AT walker. This was nothing less than thrilling, as one would expect from such an action-filled sequence.
Although all videos featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu are currently unavailable to the public, there is much anticipation among many, including myself, for another Star Wars movie to reclaim its former glory in cinemas. Given the enduring appeal of this franchise and the ongoing excitement it generates among viewers, it’s hard not to expect The Mandalorian and Grogu to become a massive summer hit and breathe new energy into Star Wars.
While we wait to learn more, The Mandalorian is available for streaming on Disney+.
The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters on May 22, 2026.
