18,635 players simultaneously enjoyed Star Wars Battlefront 2 on Steam over the weekend, as per SteamDB data. This is the highest number of concurrent players since the game was added to the platform in 2020. The game currently boasts a “Very Positive” rating for both recent and all-time reviews.

A Star Wars Story, which received widespread praise. Interestingly, the number of Battlefront 2 players began to increase significantly approximately two weeks after the premiere of Andor Season 2, according to SteamDB charts.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was part of Electronic Arts’ Star Wars Day promotion, offering a 75% discount on the game. Additionally, Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith marked its 20th anniversary by re-releasing in cinemas for a limited time. Moreover, Fortnite is currently hosting a mini-season themed around Star Wars. With renewed interest in the series, enthusiasts have been drawn to Battlefront 2, and many are vocalizing their desire for a new game in the franchise, Star Wars Battlefront 3.

In 2017, Star Wars Battlefront 2’s lukewarm reception and controversy over its loot box system might have closed the chapter on a possible third game.
