Stagtown Live-Action Movie in the Works From Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap

In a new collaboration, Margot Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, joins forces with Wattpad Webtoon Studios to bring the live-action film adaptation of “Stagtown” to life. This upcoming project is inspired by Punko’s popular horror series on Webtoon, which has already amassed over 18 million views.

Punko’s Stagtown has gripped the internet community with its creatively terrifying elements and compelling enigma,” stated Jason Goldberg, executive at Wattpad Webtoon Studios. “We are overjoyed to collaborate with LuckyChap, known for their exceptional adaptations and daring vision. Furthermore, we’re eager to transform the chilling atmosphere of Stagtown into reality, under the guidance of Benjamin Brewer, an artist who brings a unique perspective to the story that will create a horror movie defining for this generation.

What is the Stagtown live-action movie about?

Benjamin Brewer, who has worked as a VFX artist on the Academy Award-winning film Everything Everywhere All at Once from A24, is set to write and direct Stagtown. This is his latest directorial project following his work on movies starring Nicolas Cage such as Arcadian and The Trust. Brewer is also recognized for his music video directing skills, having worked with artists like Justin Bieber, David Guetta, and The Chainsmokers. Aron Levitz, David Madden, and Jason Goldberg of Wattpad Webtoon Studios are producing the film.

Adored for its chilling storyline and spine-tingling visuals, the movie is set to focus on characters Frankie, Jeremy, and Felix. As they uncover strange occurrences in Stagtown, they realize that something is deeply amiss, and their mission becomes one of escape as they attempt to flee from the daily horrors that the townsfolk have learned to ignore.
