Squid Game Sets New Viewership Record Ahead of Season 2

Ever since that nail-biting cliffhanger left us hanging three years ago, I’ve been on tenterhooks, eagerly awaiting any morsel of news about our favorite survival game contestants.

As a passionate viewer, I can’t help but marvel at the phenomenal success of “Squid Game,” a series that has left an indelible mark on Netflix’s history, becoming one of its most-watched television shows ever. In anticipation of Season 2, it has once again broken records, solidifying its status as a global phenomenon.

Starting on September 17, 2021, the South Korean survival thriller made its Netflix premiere and quickly rose to become one of their most-watched TV shows. When is Squid Game Season 2 coming out? 

In December 26, 2024, Squid Game Season 2 will make its worldwide premiere on Netflix, bringing back Lee as the sole survivor from the previous game, Seong Gi-hun. Joining him in the cast are Wi, Gong Yoo, and Lee Byung-hun. The esteemed Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who was honored with an Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series award at the 74th Primetime Emmys, will once again take the director’s chair for this upcoming season.
