After the unveiling of Squid Game Season 3, many spectators have voiced their disapproval towards the acting of the VIP characters. Despite being filled with unexpected plot twists, the season has garnered a variety of reactions from audiences. Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game has received widespread acclaim since its debut in 2021. Season 3 marked the conclusion of the Netflix series, but there are plans to produce an American adaptation directed by David Fincher in the near future.

Squid Game Season 3 viewers really hate VIPs’ performances

As the protagonist, Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung Jae, I found myself at the center of this intense game alongside other key characters like the mysterious Frontman (Lee Byung-hun) and the enigmatic Wi Ha-jun (Jun-ho). Yet, it was the VIPs who added an extra layer of intrigue to this high-stakes competition, playing a pivotal role in the Squid Game.

The VIPs are a secret group who’ve enjoyed and wagered on the games since the beginning of the series. But, starting from Season 3, viewers have pointed out that they find the VIPs to be less engaging compared to other aspects of the season. Some fans even criticized the way certain VIPs delivered their lines.

Vivian, a user, categorized the conversations between the VIPs in Squid Game 3 as “the authentic terror.” She added that their English usage made it seem as though they were learning language for the first time on Earth. Throughout the series, she joked that it felt like Grok, Meta AI, and ChatGPT were engaged in a conversation.

Someone posted, ‘Imagine a version of the popular show Squid Game, but instead of ordinary people, it’s those VIPs – the cringe-worthy, awful actors as the players.’

User Leo on X noted, “The VIPs acting in squid game is worse than their characters my gawd.”

A spectator voiced criticism towards the VIP characters, stating that their performance seemed wooden and added, “It’s as if their lines are being redubbed, which is incredibly bothersome. Without a doubt, the most irritating aspects of the series.

A viewer expressed, “I thoroughly enjoyed #SquidGame, but I found the inclusion of the VIP characters to be both pointless and ill-conceived. Their wooden acting contributed little to the narrative, and their performances in Season 3 were particularly frustrating.
