What viewership record did Squid Game Season 3 break?
In its first week, Squid Game 3 (also known as Squid Game Season 3) amassed a total of 60.1 million views, placing it second on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 list. The number one spot was taken by Olympo Season 1, with Squid Game Season 2 coming in at a close second for the June 23-29 viewership rankings. Although the third season has a strong viewer count, it still falls short of the record-breaking 68 million views achieved by the debut of Season 2.
Although Squid Game 3 ranks ninth among the non-English television series on the streamer’s list of most-watched shows globally, it has experienced a drop in viewership compared to other titles. The platform frequently updates this list, with Squid Game’s first season holding the top spot and its second season coming in second. Other notable series on the list include Money Heist Parts 3, 4, and 5; Lupin Parts 1 and 2; La Palma; and Who Killed Sara? Season 1.
The upcoming season chronicles Gi-hun’s (Lee Jung-jae) harrowing journey through the lethal competition once more, driven by his resolve to vanquish these games for good.
