[Spoiler] Thanks Ryan Reynolds for Character’s Debut in Deadpool & Wolverine

As a longtime fan of both Channing Tatum and the X-Men universe, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of excitement when I heard that Tatum had finally made his live-action debut as Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine. Having followed his journey to bring the character to life since 2014, it was heartwarming to see him express his gratitude towards Ryan Reynolds for supporting him through the years.

1. “Channing Tatum, known for playing Gambit alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Wolverine in Deadpool, expressed gratitude on social media towards Reynolds for letting him join the movie.”

What Was Channing Tatum’s Message to Ryan Reynolds About Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine?

In the year 2014, Tatum agreed to portray Remy LeBeau/Gambit, a mutant character with the ability to manipulate kinetic energy, in a standalone movie centered around him. Unfortunately, this project faced numerous setbacks and ultimately failed to materialize following the merger between Disney and Fox.

For the first time in live-action, Channing Tatum appeared as Gambit, a superhero character who assists Deadpool and Wolverine in their escape from the Void.

Last weekend at Comic-Con, I shared two snaps with Reynolds – one from way back in 2014 when he debuted Deadpool, and another one from this year’s event where Deadpool and Wolverine were showcased in Hall H. Ryan was kind enough to support me throughout my journey to bring Gambit to life on screen. I’m grateful for his constant backing!

In his own words, “I must admit that very few have stood by me as consistently as @VancityReynolds in this industry. I believed Gambit was gone for good. Yet, he persisted and fought for both of us. This act of loyalty means the world to me, and it’s hard to imagine returning the favor in kind. You’re truly special, my friend.”

10 years exactly separate these images. I remember sitting in the audience as Ryan Reynolds unveiled the first glimpse of Deadpool 1, and I believe I rushed backstage immediately afterwards to find him. I think I just gave him a heartfelt hug, exclaiming something like “Wow, you did it! It’s perfect!”

1. Following his accolades towards Shawn Levy, Tatum publicly acknowledged and admired his part in the production of Deadpool and Wolverine. (This version maintains a formal tone while keeping the message clear.)

“Everything has its purpose. I’m thankful to be a part of this film. In my view, it’s a magnificent production. And the thrill of it all left me elated, almost shouting with excitement in the cinema.”

As a die-hard fan of comic books and superhero movies, I’m absolutely thrilled to share my excitement about Deadpool and Wolverine hitting the theaters! The energy and buzz surrounding this film have been electrifying, and it’s no surprise that it opened with an impressive $211 million domestically.
