As a devoted admirer, I’m sharing the news that Splash Damage, known for creating Gears Tactics and Dirty Bomb, has decided to halt the development of Transformers: Reactivate. Consequently, they will regrettably have to let go of some team members as they readjust their focus and resources.
Splash Damage has shared an announcement on X, revealing the termination of Transformers: Reactivate and the associated layoffs. The statement expresses that although it’s disappointing not to complete the game for release, parting ways with friends and team members is an even greater sorrow.

2022 saw the unveiling of Transformers: Reactivate during The Game Awards, accompanied by a captivating cinematic trailer. While further details were scarce following this initial teaser, the game was intended for multiplayer interaction over the internet.
Regarding other ventures by Splash Damage, they collaborated with popular streamer Shroud in 2023 on a project that involved creating an open-world survival game.
