Initially, it was planned that Deepika Padukone would play the female lead in the film titled “Spirit,” alongside Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Nevertheless, recent developments suggest that she is no longer involved in the production, reportedly due to disagreements over financial aspects.
It’s said that Deepika initially asked for a fee of 400 million rupees to appear with Prabhas in the movie, but the producers and director Sandeep were only prepared to pay 200 million rupees. This disagreement over payment eventually resulted in her leaving the project.
It’s worth noting that at one point, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were considered for the film Spirit as well, much like Deepika Padukone. However, just like her, their financial terms seemed to be out of sync with the producers’ budgetary constraints, which led them to decline the offer.
In spite of multiple discussions and Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga trying hard to convince them with lower wages, both actors ultimately declined participation in the movie. Recently, Deepika Padukone has joined them, deciding to withdraw from the project as well.
For those who don’t know yet, “Spirit” is a high-action police drama set to hit theaters in 2026. This film is being helmed by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and seems to be focusing on the story of a hot-headed young officer. The plot is said to revolve around a drug cartel, but for now, it’s all just speculation since casting decisions haven’t been made public yet. So, fans will have to stay tuned for an official update!
In the upcoming cinematic landscape, I, as a dedicated follower, am eagerly anticipating my next on-screen appearance in “The Raja Saab.” This intriguing production promises to be a unique blend of romance, horror, and comedy. My character is said to portray dual roles, with the story revolving around a young man’s endeavor to sell an inherited property swiftly—a task complicated by the chilling secrets hidden within its walls that are far more than mere surface appearances suggest.
Under Prabhas’s leadership, the movie titled “The Raja Saab,” directed by Maruthi, boasts a talented cast including Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan (making her Telugu acting debut), Riddhi Kumar, and others. The release of this film was initially planned for April 10, 2025, but it has been delayed.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m excited to share that apart from my current endeavors, I’ve got some intriguing projects on the horizon. One of them is a period drama, provisionally named PrabhasHanu (Fauji), which I’m diligently working on. Additionally, I’ve been given the opportunity to make a special guest appearance in Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming production, Kannappa, set for release this year. It’s always a pleasure to be part of diverse and captivating projects!
With Spirit now on his schedule, Prabhas is set to continue his journey with upcoming sequels for Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD. This means an exciting array of action-packed projects are in store for us in the near future.
