Shameik Moore clarifies a recent speculation regarding “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse“.
In both animated films released so far – Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) – Shameik Moore has lent his voice to Miles Morales/Spider-Man. A third film, titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is under development and set for release in June 2027.

During a chat about his upcoming movie “One Spoon of Chocolate,” Moore revealed that he will indeed reprise his role in “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.” When asked if he’d appear in the film “two” times, Moore clarified that he’ll actually show up “three” times.
The comment spread rapidly online, with some interpreting it as a hint that a third version of Miles Morales from another universe would feature in the movie. However, Moore has since explained on platform X that he was referring to voicing the character in three different films, not the existence of three multiverse Miles in “Beyond the Spider-Verse.

It’s important to mention that Shameik Moore doesn’t lend his voice to the Earth-42 version of Miles Morales at the end of “Across the Spider-Verse.” Instead, it’s Jarrell Jerome who voices this character. This could explain why Moore might have misunderstood the interviewer, thinking they were asking about how many movies he’s been in rather than how many different Miles Morales characters he has voiced.
Currently, specifics about the storyline for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse are being kept secret. Initially scheduled for release on March 29, 2024, this movie has been taken off Sony’s schedule in July 2023 because of delays caused by writer and actor strikes.
The upcoming movie titled “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” has been set for release by Sony Pictures on June 4, 2027. At present, you can stream “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” on platforms like Fubo and FXNOW.
