Spider-Man 4 Cast: Which MCU & Spider-Verse Heroes Could Appear?

As a die-hard Marvel fan with over two decades of comics under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Spider-Man 4! The prospect of Destin Daniel Cretton, the mastermind behind Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, taking the helm sends shivers down my spine.

As a die-hard gamer, I can’t help but wonder who might join the cast in the upcoming adventure of Spider-Man 4. Recent rumors have it that Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is in discussions to lead this Marvel-Sony collaboration. With production set to start soon, fans like me are buzzing with excitement about which heroes could potentially make an appearance in this movie.

Here is a list of heroes whom we may see in Spider-Man 4.

List of all MCU and Spider-Verse heroes who could appear in Spider-Man 4’s cast

The first three films starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home) have collectively earned more than $10 billion worldwide at the box office. Given this tremendous success, it’s not surprising that a fourth Spider-Man film is being developed. The multiverse concept introduced in No Way Home has paved the way for numerous opportunities, such as reintroducing significant heroes and characters from the Spider-Verse to appear in the cast of Spider-Man 4.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

As per a recent article by The Hollywood Reporter, it’s been announced that Tom Holland will once again play the legendary Spider-Man in the upcoming Spider-Man 4 movie. This means he’ll continue his adventures within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His return to the role prepares us for exciting confrontations with both familiar and brand-new superheroes.

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man

As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled to share that Andrew Garfield took on the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Recently, he shut down speculations about his comeback in Spider-Man 4.

He said something along the lines of ‘The internet is vast and filled with people saying things for attention.’ So, it’s possible that what you read might not be entirely true,” the actor told Indie Wire.

Even though I publicly claimed not to be in Spider-Man: No Way Home prior to its premiere, the fact that my character’s presence is still up for grabs in the Spider-Man universe is incredibly exciting!

Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man

In the Sam Raimi trilogy, Maguire’s Spider-Man made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home as well. Therefore, considering that Spider-Man 4 delves deeper into the multiverse, there’s a possibility we might see him reunite with Holland on screen again.

Miles Morales (from Earth-616)

Introducing a Miles Morales character based on Earth-616 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) could potentially broaden the scope of the Spider-Verse. Although no formal confirmation has been given by creators or Miles Morales himself, the possibility of him being part of Spider-Man 4’s cast is generating enthusiasm among fans.

Daredevil

It’s possible that Charlie Cox’s character Matt Murdock/Daredevil, who was featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home, could reappear in Spider-Man 4. If the storyline is set in New York City, where both Spider-Man and Daredevil live, there’s a chance that he might bring along other street-level superheroes to join the action.

Captain Marvel

Brie Larson and Cretton are good friends and have worked together often. So, it’s possible that she could appear as a guest, much like she did in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, on their future projects.

Shang-Chi

Previously, Cretton was the director for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This means that Simu Liu’s character Xu Shang-Chi/Shaun could potentially make an appearance in Spider-Man 4. Such a crossover with Shang-Chi would add a new, thrilling element to the cast of Spider-Man 4.
