As a long-time South Park fanatic with over two decades of watching this iconic animated series under my belt, I must admit that I find myself both excited and slightly frustrated by the latest update about Season 27. On one hand, Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s creative genius never fails to amaze me, and I can’t wait to see what fresh satirical takes they have in store for us. On the other hand, having to endure this seemingly endless wait is like being stuck in a Cartman-esque time warp.

Back in 1997, I stumbled upon this amazing animated show called South Park, created by the brilliant minds of Parker and Stone. Since then, it’s been a part of my gaming (and viewing) life for over two decades! With a whopping 328 episodes under its belt, we’ve just wrapped up Season 26 in March 2023. It never gets old, does it?
According to their conversation with Vanity Fair, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have revealed that the next season of South Park, which is Season 27, will not air until the year 2025

As a devoted enthusiast, I’ve found that tackling South Park across numerous presidential elections has been quite the mental challenge – a real brain-bender! It often feels like politics overshadows the fun aspects, taking on an outsized significance. Don’t get me wrong; politics matter greatly, but sometimes it just consumes everything and we end up having less enjoyment
Parker added, “I don’t know what more we could possibly say about Trump.”
After wrapping up Season 26 of South Park, there have been three new releases: “South Park: Joining the Panderverse” (released in 2023), “South Park (Not Suitable for Children)” (also from 2023), and “South Park: The End of Obesity” (aired in 2024)
“It’s just way more fun to be like, Oh, Cartman’s going to dress up like a robot,” Stone commented.
At the moment, you can stream all 26 seasons of South Park on Max. However, as of now, there’s no set release date for South Park Season 27
