A new trailer for South Park Season 27 has been released.
Initially airing in August 1997, the long-running animated sitcom “South Park,” produced by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, has gained immense popularity over its 26 seasons. Unfortunately, it’s been a while since a new season of South Park has been released; Season 26 concluded in March 2023.
During this period, a few specific episodes have come out – “South Park: Entering the Panderverse”, “South Park (Not for Kids)”, and “South Park: The End of Obesity”. The first two were launched in the year 2023, while the third was released in 2024.
Currently, South Park has been confirmed for a return, and you can take a look at the trailer for Season 27 right here (explore additional trailers and clips):

When is the release date for South Park Season 27?
South Park Season 27 will premiere on Comedy Central on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
The preview showcases a chilling reinterpretation of the well-known “Blame Canada” tune, initially heard in the 1999 film South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. Although it was recognized with an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song, it ultimately lost to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be in My Heart,” from Tarzan.
In the exciting sneak peek, I found myself witnessing some intense scenes, like plane crashes, Diddy making an appearance, and the iconic Statue of Liberty being dismantled. There’s also a moment where Randy inquires about his daughter, Shelley, regarding her use of ketamine, suggesting it might be beneficial for her well-being.
Parker and Stone revealed to Vanity Fair in September 2024 that they intentionally did not put out a new South Park season during the 2024 presidential election because the process is incredibly challenging and consumes too much mental energy, making it less enjoyable for them. Stone explained at the time, “We’ve attempted to produce South Park through four or five presidential elections, and it’s a real brain-bender. It seems crucial, but it tends to dominate everything, leaving us with fewer fun times.
All 26 seasons of South Park are currently available to stream on Max.
