1. Jailer 2 announcement teaser:

Following much anticipation over an extended period, renowned actor Rajinikanth is gearing up for his return to the silver screen with the reprisal of his beloved character Muthuvel Pandian. In a compelling 4-minute teaser trailer, the superstar was joined by director Nelson and composer Anirudh to unveil the upcoming sequel film titled Jailer 2.

While the initial sneak peek showed a powerful comeback for the character, the production team hasn’t disclosed details about the remainder of the cast as filming is due to start shortly.

2. Pongal and Sankranti releases:

Over the past seven days, numerous South cinema stars celebrated the traditional festivals Pongal and Sankranti, while several films were released. The much-anticipated film Madha Gaja Raja, starring Vishal and directed by Sundar C after a 12-year delay, was a massive success in Tamil cinemas upon its release.

Conversely, films such as Daaku Maharaaj and Sankranthiki Vasthunam were also released in cinemas during Sankranti this year, turning out to be successes.

3. Priyanka Chopra Jonas arrives in Hyderabad for SSMB29 works:

The upcoming film SSMB29, featuring Mahesh Babu and directed by SS Rajamouli, commenced with an inaugural prayer ceremony. With production set to start soon, the movie’s principal actress, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, was spotted arriving in Hyderabad for filming.

It seems the actress arrived in Hyderabad from Toronto, and it’s anticipated that she will be participating in the projects.

4. Ajith Kumar starrer Vidaamuyarchi trailer:

This year, Ajith Kumar will grace the big screen with the movie “Vidaamuyarchi,” helmed by director Magizh Thirumeni. In this action-packed thriller, AK and Trisha play the lead roles as a married couple on screen.

Originally planned for a Pongal release, the film has been rescheduled and will premier in cinemas on February 6, 2025 instead.
