South movies releasing this week: Dhanush’s most-awaited Raayan, Rakshit Alturi’s Operation Raavan to Prajwal Devaraj’s Mafia

I’d be remiss not to mention the upcoming movie of Dhanush, titled Raayan, set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024. This Tamil production is sure to deliver heart-pumping action scenes, and that’s no exaggeration – Dhanush himself penned and will direct these sequences, making it his second stint as a filmmaker.

Under the production of Kalanithi Maran, under the Sun Pictures banner, this film boasts a stellar cast featuring actors like S.J Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, among others.

Since the initial sneak peeks and posters of the movie were released, there’s been a lot of buzz amongst fans, excited to see Dhanush in an unfamiliar avatar. What’s more, fans are in for a treat with the film’s impressive musical score, as it will be composed by the renowned AR Rahman.

Coming up next is “Operation Raavan,” a film slated for release in Tamil and Telugu versions. The highly anticipated Kannada film “Mafia” stars Prajwal Devraj in the leading role. Set to be released on July 26, 2024, this movie has already piqued the interest of viewers just by its initial trailer.

In this movie, the main storyline centers around a determined police officer going up against great challenges to take down a notorious organ-trafficking ring. Viewers can look forward to heart-pounding action scenes and unexpected surprises that add layers of complexity to the plot.

In the movie, there are other actors besides Aditi Prabhudeva, Shine Shetty, Sadhu Kokila, and Vasuki Vaibhav who also make appearances. The film is helmed by Lohith H., both in writing and direction.
