The drama is ready to unfold, but the ramifications will extend beyond this revelation. A crucial element of the season 22 premiere revolves around a decision made by Knight during hostage negotiations which she should not have, leading her into deep trouble.

The events she initiated prompted another discussion between her and Jimmy, as Binder explained. He referred to it as a continuation and mentioned they’d discuss preventing World War III in episode 4.
