Sonic the Hedgehog Film Franchise Crosses $1 Billion Box Office Mark

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie series has hit a significant achievement as Paramount Pictures declared that the earnings from the films based on Sega have surpassed the $1 billion threshold at the global box office.

How much has the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise made?

Reaching the billion-dollar milestone is attributed to the overall worldwide ticket sales of the franchise. Combined earnings from Sonic the Hedgehog and its sequel, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, amounted to an impressive $725.2 million at the box office. The latest installment in the series, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, has also been successful since its release in theaters last month.

To date, the third movie in the series has amassed more than $312 million worldwide, and its success is still escalating. Initially, it debuted as the top-grossing film domestically, and soon after, it recorded the franchise’s largest international opening.

This holiday season, get ready for Sonic the Hedgehog’s latest action-packed adventure on the big screen! Joining forces once again are Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails as they confront a formidable new enemy – Shadow, an enigmatic villain with extraordinary powers that surpass anything they’ve encountered before.
