As a gamer with decades of Sonic the Hedgehog memories etched into my gaming heart, I must say I’m thrilled to hear about Sonic the Hedgehog 4! The thought of another adventure with our speedy blue friend is simply electrifying!

This weekend, “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” will be shown in theaters, and Paramount Pictures is swiftly advancing the series with “Sonic the Hedgehog 4” already under development at their studio, set to hit screens in the spring of 2027.

According to a report by Variety, it’s been announced that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will hit theaters in the spring of 2027. Paramount Pictures and Sega are working together to produce this fourth installment in their video game adaptation series, following the trend of releasing these films approximately every few years.

The Sonic movie series has been a huge hit at cinemas, amassing a total of $725.2 million from the first two installments. Predictions indicate that the upcoming third film will earn more than $55 million during its opening weekend.

As a die-hard Sonic the Hedgehog fan, I can’t help but wonder which beloved characters and talented actors might rejoin the cast for Sonic the Hedgehog 4. For now, Paramount is being secretive about the storyline details, keeping us guessing.
