This winter, prepare for the imminent arrival of Sonic Rumble, the exciting multiplayer party game featuring Sonic the Hedgehog, available on both mobile devices and PCs! In this game, up to 32 competitors can go head-to-head in a variety of engaging challenges. Gather rings and triumph in matches to unlock an array of customization options for your characters, adding a personal touch to each one.
Updates are on the horizon for current mobile games featuring Sonic the Hedgehog. In the upcoming period, fresh characters will join Sonic Dash, Sonic Dash+, and Sonic Force. These additions include Valhalla Surge, Oni Mephiles, Warrior Shadow, and Sweet Amy. You can unlock Valhalla Surge immediately. Additionally, Sonic Racing will introduce new character styles such as Rockstar Rouge, DJ Vector, and Popstar Amy.
The whimsical world of chaos is set to shine in the upcoming animated web series, Chao Tales. Consisting of eight episodes, this exciting series showcasing beloved creatures will stream on Sonic the Hedgehog’s official social media platforms.
In various games outside of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, you’ll find the franchise making appearances. For instance, Sonic can be experienced in Roblox through Sonic Speed Simulator, currently accessible. Furthermore, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble has introduced a new Shadow the Hedgehog costume as part of the SEGA Costume Pack, which is available now. Additionally, themed monkey balls for Sonic and Shadow are free to download from the Nintendo eShop. Lastly, in anticipation of its release, Two Point Museum will incorporate numerous Sonic-themed items as a preorder bonus. This includes outfits, interactive exhibits, and decorations.
As a passionate Sonic fan myself, I’m thrilled to share that SEGA has announced exciting collaborations that are set to delight fans of all ages! These partnerships will bring unique Sonic-themed products and experiences from LEGO, Topgolf, Jakks Pacific, PDP, First 4 Figures, HJC Helmets, Louis de Guzman, and Bushiroad Creative. Can’t wait to see what these collaborations will unveil!
Among all the partnerships highlighted, the one that drew the most attention was the forthcoming DC Comics crossover with Sonic. Beginning March 2025, this exciting collaboration kicks off across five issues, penned by Ian Flynn. In this series, beloved Sonic characters will step into the roles of popular DC superheroes. For instance, Shadow takes on Batman’s mantle, Sonic becomes The Flash, Amy transforms into Wonder Woman, Silver dons the Green Lantern ring, and Tails assumes the role of Cyborg. Although merchandise like clothing and toys are in development, they were not displayed during the presentation. However, it was confirmed that this collaboration will continue through 2026.
A fresh trailer for Sonic X Shadow Generations was unveiled, offering insights into the upcoming game’s narrative. Apart from gameplay, it appears Maria, Shadow the Hedgehog’s friend, is set to reappear. Moreover, it was disclosed that all physical pre-orders of the forthcoming game will include a 24-page Gerald Robotnik journal.
To wrap up, Sonic Central 2024 ended on an energetic note, featuring a teaser for the forthcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie. Toby Ascher, the producer, and Jeff Fowler, the director, expressed their enthusiasm for the project in a video, while also expressing gratitude to fans for their backing and encouragement.
