Shadow Joins The Cast In Sonic the Hedgehog 3
I’m confident that many others share my enthusiasm for Shadow the Hedgehog becoming part of the action too. His sneak peek at the end of Sonic 2 has left plenty of fans eagerly anticipating his potential role, which could undoubtedly bring some fresh challenges for Sonic and his companions.
Director Jeff Fowler himself is just as excited, as he shared in an interview:
I’m hesitant to go into too much detail, only because it’s obviously still very early. I will say that we are teasing a character that I’m incredibly excited about. It’s very personal to me as a fan.
Before Sonic 2 made its debut on the big screen, Fowler was already brimming with excitement, eagerly hinting at Shadow to the fans. Given that he’s a fan himself, there’s a good chance he will portray the mysterious and edgy Dark Hedgehog accurately.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel that Shadow could be exactly what the third film is missing, seeing as another major character may not make a comeback.
New Trailer Reveals Keanu Reeves As Shadow
In the latest sneak peek of Sonic 3, it’s been disclosed that the charismatic actor, Keanu Reeves, will provide the captivating vocals for the emblematic villain, Shadow. From the footage, it appears that his character is more than a match for our protagonists, leading them to solicit aid from Dr. Robotnik, portrayed by Jim Carrey.
Indeed, despite rumors suggesting that he had left acting, it appears that Jim Carrey is set to make a comeback as Dr. Robotnik one last time. However, this time around, he will team up with Sonic and the gang instead of causing chaos. Towards the end of the trailer, we even catch a sneak peek of Dr. Robotnik’s father, who seems equally enthusiastic about joining the fight.
