2025’s World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) is happening in Mumbai starting May 1st. Many stars attended, but Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala garnered the most attention upon their arrival. Interestingly, they took a selfie during their car ride before attending the event.
Later on, Sobhita posted about the delightful occasion from the event on her Instagram stories. In the picture, Naga Chaitanya is elegantly dressed in a black bandhgala, and Sobhita praises him in a beautiful saree. Sobhita herself looked stunning in a shimmering dark-toned saree adorned with henna motifs, and she accentuated her look with sindoor, bold jewelry, and confident poses.

Yesterday, I was absolutely thrilled to see multiple videos pop up all over social media featuring none other than my beloved Naga Chaitanya and the radiant Sobhita! In these clips, they looked like they were in their own little world, wrapped up in each other, shining at an event. To top it off, Nagarjuna was there too, adding even more star power at the WAVES Summit 2025. It’s moments like these that make me feel so grateful to be a fan!
Take a look at the video below:
During the gathering, Nagarjuna unveiled a notable declaration with Prime Minister Narendra Modi present. He disclosed the upcoming release of commemorative postage stamps to pay tribute to five influential figures in Indian cinema—filmmakers Guru Dutt, Raj Khosla, Ritwik Ghatak, actress P. Bhanumathi, and musician Salil Chowdhury.
Reflecting on a comparable homage at the 55th International Film Festival of India, where commemorative stamps were unveiled for Raj Kapoor, Mohammed Rafi, Tapan Sinha, and my father Akkineni Nageswara Rao, I find this latest recognition to be nothing short of historical. It’s an extraordinary moment as we celebrate 100 years since the birth of five cinematic legends whose artistry defined the golden era of Indian cinema.
He thanked the Ministry of Information and Communication, as well as the Prime Minister, for safeguarding cinema’s heritage through their various initiatives. Following his speech, PM Modi appeared on stage alongside Nagarjuna, Ashwini Vaishnaw (I&B Minister), and Dr L Murugan (MoS), to formally reveal the special edition stamps.
During this four-day event, India’s innovative industries and renowned global entertainers are being brought together to display their talents.
