Luc Besson penned the script for “The Last Man.” Co-production duties are shared with Snoop Dogg, Sara Ramaker, and Virginie Besson-Silla. It’s anticipated that filming will commence in 2025.
Previously, Besson and Snoop Dogg collaborated on an animated film titled “Arthur and the Minimoys” (or “Arthur and the Invisibles” in the U.S.), where Snoop Dogg lent his voice to the character named Max, who was skillfully directed by Besson.
Besson has been a long-time admirer of Snoop Dogg’s music, dating back to ‘Who Am I.’ We’ve had a desire to collaborate again for two decades now. The perfect opportunity finally presents itself with this project, where Snoop takes the main role. I’m thrilled about diving into it!
Snoop Dogg expressed, “Ever since I watched The Professional, I’ve dreamed of having Luc direct an entire film for me. Now, I’m thrilled that he will not only script but also direct me in a Luc Besson production.
