The first trailer for Sneaks, a new animated family movie about shoes, has been released.
Starting this April, theaters across the U.S. will screen “Sneaks,” a film produced by Briarcliff Entertainment. The star-studded voice cast of this PG-rated animated movie features Anthony Mackie from “Captain America: Brave New World” and Martin Lawrence from “Bad Boys for Life,” along with other notable actors.

What happens in the Sneaks trailer?
The story “Sneaks” centers around Ty, a designer sneaker who’s lived in luxury within his velvet-lined shoebox. However, when his sister is taken by a questionable collector, Ty embarks on a journey through New York City to retrieve her. Along the way, he encounters an eclectic mix of footwear friends from various backgrounds who inspire him to leave his comfort zone and discover his perfect match, or ‘sole-mate.’
Besides Mackie and Lawrence, the vocal talents of Sneaks also feature Swae Lee, Chloe Bailey, Macy Gray, Roddy Ricch, Ella Mai, Quavo, Coi Leray, Keith David, Chris Paul, and Laurence Fishburne.
This movie has been crafted by director Rob Edwards, who’s previously contributed to the screenplays for “Captain America: Brave New World” and “Treasure Planet” from 2002 and “The Princess and the Frog” of 2009 respectively.
Edwards is set to make his first directorial appearance in a full-length movie with “Sneaks”, a role that was initially offered to Pixar’s seasoned director, Teddy Newton. However, Newton decided to step away from the project, and Edwards took over the directorial responsibilities in June 2021.
In this film, Fishburne, Len Hartman, Gil Cloyd, and Helen Sugland act as the producers, with Robyn Klein, Jeremy Ross, and Meko Yohannes serving in the role of executive producers. The soundtrack of the movie includes fresh compositions from Grammy-winning artist Mustard.
Sneaks will be released in United States theaters on April 18, 2025, from Briarcliff Entertainment.
