Recently, HYBE unveiled its latest global pop ensemble, KATSEYE. This group aims to adapt the K-pop approach with an eye towards success in the international music market. In a similar vein, SM Entertainment has presented Dear Alice, a newly formed British band that underwent intense training to emulate the K-pop regimen and realize their ambition of making it big as a successful musical group.

Made In Korea: The K-Pop Experience
Following the initial presentation of Blaise, Dexter, James, Olly, and Reese, viewers eagerly anticipate following the group’s journey on the new BBC One series titled Made in Korea: The K-pop Experience. This upcoming production is a joint effort between SM Entertainment and Moon & Back Media.
The BBC has revealed a sneak peek at the show titled “Made In Korea: The K-Pop Experience.” This program is filmed in South Korea where the participants are plunged into the heart of K-pop culture and undergo a rigorous 100-day training regimen similar to the original K-pop process. They will encounter choreography, vocal, and performance classes, along with life coaching advice, all while being fully immersed in Korean lifestyle. This intense journey unfolds amidst Seoul’s breathtaking scenery and famous K-pop landmarks.
As a former aspiring K-pop fan and someone who has tried (and failed) to learn Korean dancing and singing, I am genuinely excited about the upcoming documentary-style reality show that will reveal the rigorous training process of K-pop stars on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Having followed the careers of several successful groups over the years, I’ve always been fascinated by their dedication and discipline, which often involves countless hours of practice and sacrifice.
