Skate Trailer Reveals Early Access Release Date Window

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt and countless hours spent mastering the art of virtual skateboarding, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Skate by Electronic Arts and Full Circle! Growing up with the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games and then moving on to the skate. series, it feels like a long-awaited reunion is finally happening.

Getting ready for a front salad, back salad, and an ollie down the Mongocorp rail? Good news! Next year, you’ll have early access to Skate, a collaboration between Electronic Arts and Full Circle.

When does Skate Early Access begin?

I’m stoked, but as of now, there isn’t a precise date set for Skate’s early access launch. But don’t worry, EA and Full Circle have given us a wide 2025 release window. They’ll be sharing more details about its release in the upcoming months, so keep an eye on their official Twitter for updates!

Simultaneously with the unveiling of the Skate release date, there’s a fresh trailer out. Even though the content is reminiscent of past previews, it offers a good glimpse into enhanced animations. Notably, the subtle pivot at the end of the initial trick adds authenticity for realism enthusiasts. Additionally, various obstacles seem to materialize from nowhere, increasing versatility at each location. Furthermore, the bailing physics are demonstrated, promising some humorous bloopers.

Additionally, the trailer displays various brands that are part of Skate’s lineup. The opening and closing skater can be seen wearing Vans Half Cabs, a classic shoe synonymous with skateboarding. The first skater glides on a Chocolate deck, a well-loved skate brand. The final rider dons a Thrasher hoodie, a renowned skateboarding magazine. Girl Skateboards and Dickies are also showcased in the forthcoming game.

It seems that there’s not a lot of information available regarding the guest professional skaters in the game. However, we can infer that Breana Geering from Girl Skateboards could potentially make an appearance as a skater in San Vansterdam, given that she was featured in the reveal trailer.

For the past two years, EA and Full Circle have invited numerous PC gamers to preview their game. Console testing will start in the fall of 2024. If you’re keen, you can still register to be considered for playing the eagerly awaited new game.
