SK25: After Purananooru, Sudha Kongara locks in THIS title for Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi and Atharvaa starrer?

As a die-hard fan of Tamil cinema, I must say that the recent developments surrounding Sudha Kongara’s ambitious project SK25 have left me absolutely thrilled! The announcement of the stellar star cast and the commencement of shooting has sent waves of excitement through the Tamil film industry. The rumored title “1965” is a fascinating choice, as it ties in with a real-life incident that took place in that year, adding an element of intrigue to the plot.

I must admit, I’ve been following this project closely ever since the initial reports about it being Purananooru starring Suriya surfaced. The addition of actors like Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa Murali, and Sreeleela has only added fuel to the fire!

I can still remember the buzz that surrounded the film when the entire cast and crew gathered for the auspicious puja ceremony, even though I was a bit worried about the rumors of a rift between Sudha Kongara and Sivakarthikeyan. Thankfully, those rumors turned out to be baseless, and I was relieved to see Sivakarthikeyan sporting a completely new look for SK25.

The fact that Jayam Ravi is playing the antagonist and Atharvaa has a crucial role in the film makes me even more eager to see how this story unfolds on screen. And let’s not forget about Sreeleela, who will be making her Tamil debut with the Sudha Kongara directorial!

All in all, I can hardly wait for SK25 to hit the big screens and make history in the Tamil film industry! Just a little joke to lighten things up – I wonder if they’ll have a sequel called “1966” or maybe even “1971” if this film becomes a blockbuster hit!

As a long-time fan of Sudha Kongara’s work, I am thrilled to hear that her ambitious project SK25 has finally gained momentum. Having followed the development of this film (previously known as Purananooru) for quite some time, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation and excitement about the stellar cast that’s been assembled for it. The addition of actors like Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa Murali, and Sreeleela to the roster is truly impressive, and I believe they will bring a unique energy and depth to their respective roles.

What’s more, the fact that filming has already begun fills me with a sense of satisfaction, as it’s always fascinating to see a project come together in front of my eyes. The latest rumor about a striking title being locked for the Tamil film only adds to my curiosity and eagerness to learn more about this production. I can’t wait to see how Sudha Kongara brings her vision to life on the big screen, and I have no doubt that it will be a memorable cinematic experience for audiences everywhere.

According to a report by Asianet, it seems the potential title for SK25 could be “1965”. This intriguing choice derives from the film’s narrative being inspired by a true event that unfolded exactly in that year, making it a significant piece of our shared history.

Furthermore, the intriguing inclusion of a year within the title of the movie appears to draw inspiration from the Malayalam film titled “2018,” featuring Tovino Thomas, which was released in May 2023.

Despite the buzz about the movie, it’s important to mention that the creators have not officially revealed the title of the project as of now.

On December 14, the full team of SK25 assembled for a significant prayer ceremony, marking the beginning of our film production journey.

There was a lot of excitement among fans on social media as recent news and images shared seemed to put an end to rumors of a disagreement between director Sudha Kongara and actor Sivakarthikeyan, which had arisen just a few days earlier.

It was rumored that the actor from Amara was at odds with the clean-shaven appearance the director wished for him to adopt in the movie.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that an analogy involving Karthi sparked such intense anger in SK that he chose to depart the set quietly, without uttering a single word, and also cut off all communication with Sudha.

Later on, the rumors turned out to be unfounded, and it was confirmed that Sivakarthikeyan had indeed adopted a fresh appearance for SK25.

In addition to reports that Sivakarthikeyan will portray the main character, it’s rumored that Jayam Ravi has been brought on board to play the villain. Meanwhile, Atharvaa is set to take on a significant role in the movie.

Coming to Sreeleela, she would mark her Tamil debut with the Sudha Kongara directorial.
