As a dedicated follower who has witnessed the rollercoaster ride that is Tamil cinema, I must say that the ongoing saga between Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara, although a bit dramatic, adds a touch of spice to the otherwise predictable film industry news. Having followed their careers closely, it’s intriguing to see these two powerhouses seemingly at odds over a simple beard issue.
Following the extraordinary achievement of his last production, Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan is diving headfirst into his upcoming venture, SK25. This movie, helmed by Sudha Kongara, features Jayam Ravi as a key adversary and Atharvaa in a significant part as well. Now, this project has formally begun its filming process.
In various popular social media posts, images reveal the filming location bedecked with a large clapperboard. This prop carries the working title SK25, along with the names of the director and cast members. The shooting is scheduled to start on December 14, 2024.

Recently, there have been persistent whispers of a potential disagreement involving Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara. The chatter indicated that the actor was requested to shave off his beard for the movie shoot, a style he had maintained since his last film.
Initially, it seems Sivakarthikeyan wasn’t agreeable to this condition and felt taken aback when it was proposed, as he hadn’t been made aware of it beforehand. Additionally, when Sudha apparently drew a parallel between Sivakarthikeyan’s current appearance and Karthi from Paruthiveeran, the actor is said to have become furious and decided to leave the set.
As a devoted admirer, I’ve come to learn that following an incident, Sivakarthikeyan allegedly halted all interactions with Sudha Kongara, which in turn appears to have paused the initial stages of our film’s test shoot.
Later, it was confirmed by reliable sources that the rumors circulating about the project were unfounded speculations. In reality, the movie was progressing as planned and was on schedule.
For those unfamiliar, there’s been talk that the movie Sudha Kongara is currently working on with Sivakarthikeyan could potentially be the resurrected project Purananooru, initially intended for Suriya as the main character. Some sources even hint at Sreeleela joining the cast, taking a significant role. Yet, the production team has not officially confirmed these speculations.
Moving on, the latest film by Sivakarthikeyan, titled Amaran, was a massive hit at the box office and received widespread acclaim for its innovative portrayal of a real-life war hero’s biography.
