As a die-hard fan who has witnessed Sivakarthikeyan’s meteoric rise to stardom and Lokesh Kanagaraj‘s exceptional storytelling prowess, I can barely contain my excitement at the prospect of these two powerhouses joining forces! The mere mention of a potential collaboration between them sets my heart racing like a Thalapathy Vijay-led car chase in a Lokesh Kanagaraj film.
Everyone is eagerly anticipating Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming movie, Amaran, as it promises to be a unique biopic portrayed by the talented actor. The film has already generated interest due to its innovative concept, and even more excitement was sparked when there were rumors about him potentially working with Lokesh Kanagaraj on another project at the audio launch event for the film.
As a connoisseur of all things cinematic, I recently found myself gracing the audio launch event for the highly anticipated film Amaran. In the course of this gathering, the host took it upon himself to address the burning question on everyone’s minds: would the brilliant filmmaker embark on a grand-scale entertainer project alongside the charismatic Sivakarthikeyan? The anticipation in the room was electric as we all eagerly awaited his response.
Everyone is enthusiastic about the upcoming project, and the filmmaker’s response to a question really caught everyone’s attention. He shared that the script for this project has actually been previously discussed. Additionally, Lokesh hinted at the actor having made an appearance in Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time (GOAT).
He mentioned that he’s previously acquired that film role known as “Thuppakki”. We’ve discussed the script for it, and we’ll be working together on it shortly.
Lokesh Kanagaraj appears to be a busy filmmaker, brimming with future projects on his agenda. He’s also expressed interest in collaborating with specific actors and potentially creating sequels or spin-offs of his successful films like Vikram, Kaithi, Leo, among others.
For instance, during a previous media interaction, Lokesh spoke about his upcoming project with Suriya and revealed how he now wants to make Rolex a standalone film, much similar to his film Vikram starring Kamal Haasan.
He mentioned that he ended the “Rolex” sequence to give Vikram a powerful finale. Since he developed the Rolex character more prominently, he now intends to produce a standalone film focusing on Rolex. Following the completion of Coolie, he aims to make an epic LCU film featuring all the LCU cast members. As the LCU universe has begun, it needs a fitting conclusion. Therefore, within the next five years, a movie will be released under the LCU universe.
However, he added that he would only be able to do it once he completed his upcoming schedule of Coolie with Rajinikanth.
