In her Fall/Winter 2025 collection notes, Simone Rocha expressed, “Disconnected from today, finding peace in your personal moments.” Instead of staying rooted in the present, she looked to her past and drew inspiration from old tales, such as “The Tortoise & The Hare,” to create a sense of detached nostalgia. By revisiting the past and merging it with the new, Rocha’s latest collection pays homage to both time periods.
Childhood themes were plentiful and distinct in this collection. Bicycle shed locks served as belts adorning models’ waistlines, while rabbits appeared throughout the styles, ranging from fluffy handheld toy versions to beadwork embellishments on varsity sweaters.
Slowing time down, people took a second look at some of Rocha’s highly sought-after designs. A top reminiscent of a ribbon was redesigned flowing over faux fur mini skirts, while paper bag dresses were given a modern twist with a bike lock detail, and bags from previous seasons were turned into pearly tortoiseshell ones, referencing the classic children’s story once more.
As time moved from youthful exuberance to nostalgic young adulthood, this collection blended floral motifs with bloomers and playful ribbon-tied sneakers. The retro charm was amplified by the inclusion of faux fur stoles and bandeaus, which brought an air of vintage Hollywood glamour to tweeds and gowns. Timeless style icon Alexa Chung graced the runway in a leather jacket, faux fur top combo, teamed with a skirt featuring a slit and a belted bag.
Or,
The collection evolved from its youthful beginnings to capture the essence of nostalgic young adulthood, harmoniously combining florals with practical bloomers and fun ribbon-laced sneakers. A touch of old Hollywood glamour was introduced through faux fur stoles and bandeaus, enhancing tweeds and gowns. The epitome of timeless style, Alexa Chung, strutted down the runway in a leather jacket, faux fur top combo, paired with a skirt featuring a slit and a belted bag.
Additionally, the assortment put effort into broadening its line for men’s clothing. It featured duffle coats, pleated shorts that fell just above the knee, knits adorned with fur trim, and bejeweled socks, all evoking memories of school uniforms but with a unique Simone Rocha flair.
Simone Rocha, a cherished favorite at London Fashion Week, has yet again demonstrated her exceptional talent in design after more than a decade of meticulous work.
