Silo Season 3 To Tell Silo’s ‘Origin Story’ With Jessica Henwick, Creator Says

The climactic episode of “Silo” Season 2 made its premiere on Apple TV+ today, living up to the explosive finales that viewers have come to anticipate from this show. With Apple already giving the go-ahead for Seasons 3 and 4, there’s plenty of buzz about what lies ahead. In a recent interview, the series creator, Graham Yost, gave some tantalizing hints about what we can expect in Season 3.

Graham Yost teases Jessica Henwick and Ashley Zuckerman’s return in Silo Season 3

At the close of Season 2, viewers are introduced to Jessica Henwick’s character Helen and Ashley Zuckerman’s Congressman from Georgia’s 15th district in a flashback scene. In a recent interview, showrunner Yost suggests that these two figures will reappear in Season 3, as the narrative will explore the history behind the silos and how our post-apocalyptic world came to exist.

In Season 3, we’ll delve into the backstory of our characters, including Daniel and Helen, portrayed by Ashley Zuckerman and Jessica Henwick, as per Yost’s statement to TheWrap.

During discussions with Apple, there were proposals to conclude the season by having Rebecca Ferguson’s character, Juliette Nichols, trapped in an airlock ablaze. However, Yost and his team objected, stating that Silo isn’t a series that ends on a mere cliffhanger. Instead, it should provide resolutions and raise new questions.

In the scene involving Helen and the Congressman, we learn about the origin of George Wilkins’ Rubber Ducky Pez dispenser, which is later given to Juliette. Yost explained, “This was something unique. We knew viewers would think, ‘Oh wow, that’s where Pez came from. What does that mean?’ This then drives the story forward, and this is how our show works best, as it’s a mystery series.

Significantly, Seasons 3 and 4 of our show will be shot consecutively in the year 2025, allowing for a short transition to prepare for the production of Season 4. Actress Henwick has been featured in shows like Game of Thrones, Iron Fist, and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, while actor Zukerman is recognized from the Fear Street series, Succession, and The Lost Symbol.
