As a die-hard fan of captivating sci-fi dramas, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by the news that Apple TV+’s Silo has been renewed for two more seasons! Having grown up on a steady diet of dystopian literature and futuristic films, this series feels like a perfect blend of my favorite genres.
Apple TV+ has preemptively renewed the hit sci-fi drama series “Silo” for a further two seasons. Starring Rebecca Ferguson, the show is currently in its second season and will continue until its fourth season, which is set to conclude the storyline.
Ever since its launch in 2023, Silo has garnered widespread praise from both critics and viewers. As of now, its current season boasts an impressive 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, close to perfection. Fresh episodes are released every Friday, with the final episode airing on January 17, 2025.
What did Rebecca Ferguson say about the Silo renewal?
Ferguson expressed his delight in every moment of bringing Juliette to life on screen and takes immense pride in the work we’ve all done with Silo since the premiere. He has always been deeply invested in sharing the entire story from Hugh Howey’s books, and he’s thrilled that viewers worldwide have warmly accepted the series. Together with Apple and Graham, along with our talented cast and crew, he can’t wait to explore the remaining two seasons that will provide a satisfying conclusion to this intriguing dystopian narrative.
The series “Silo” was developed and produced by showrunner Graham Yost, who adapted it from Hugh Howey’s post-apocalyptic novel series of the same title. Ferguson, Yost, Ben Brafman, Jon Midlane, Fred Golan, Cassie Pappas, Fred Golan (again), Ingrid Escajeda, Remi Aubuchon, Hugh Howey, and Nina Jack serve as executive producers. Aric Avelino, Ben Brafman, and Joanna Thapa are the producers.
The summary tells of the tale of the final 10,000 people living on earth, sheltered within a colossal home that extends a mile deep, shielding them from a hazardous and lethal world outside. Yet, the origin and purpose behind the construction of this silo remain unknown, and anyone who attempts to uncover these secrets meets with a fatal end. Ferguson portrays Juliette, an engineer who seeks justice for her loved one’s murder, only to stumble upon a mystery that runs much deeper than she could have ever anticipated. This investigation leads her to unveil the reality that the deceptions might not kill you, but the truth certainly will.
