Silent Hill 2 remake sells over 1 million units in first week

As a long-time fan of the Silent Hill series, I can confidently say that the remake of Silent Hill 2 has exceeded all my expectations. With its dark and eerie atmosphere, improved characters, and revamped combat, it’s like stepping back into the haunting world I fell in love with years ago.

The reimagined version of Silent Hill 2 by both Konami and Bloober Team is now available, and it seems to be selling exceptionally well just a week after its debut. In fact, they’ve revealed that the game has surpassed 1 million units sold in its first week on sale.

In a recent press statement, Konami proudly announced that Silent Hill 2 achieved impressive sales during its first week after launching on both PC and PlayStation 5 on October 8, 2024. Notably, the initial Silent Hill 2 needed about a month to reach a million in sales, as reported by IGN. Despite being developed by Bloober Team, original members of Team Silent such as composer Akira Yamaoka and concept artist Masahiro Ito were also part of this project.
