As a longtime fan of the anime world, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming PC release of Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins! Having already experienced the adrenaline rush of the game on both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, I can’t help but feel like a true ninja myself.
The side-scrolling game, which is currently playable on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, is also set to be released for personal computers.
Following its release on the Switch on May 30 and for the PlayStation 4 on November 14, Rainmaker Productions’ Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins is set to debut on PC on November 28.
A story beyond the anime
In the video game inspired by the anime “Ninja Kamui,” you can take on the role of Tsukumo, a shadowy figure, as you engage in combat and gunfights against swarms of ninjas and minions. The objective is to uncover the untold backstory that is exclusive to this game.
As a part of the covert group AUZA, Tsukumo is tasked with rooting out any evil elements within its own ranks. When he discovers a plot by insiders to assassinate one of his old teammates, Tsukumo acquires a cutting-edge enhancement device known as “TYPE 0”. Equipped with this technology, he must locate and likely confront the head of AUZA in the secluded ninja outpost.
Key features of the game
Delve into the authentic anime realm using a 2D side-scrolling format, all the while perfecting the techniques of timed assaults and combination moves. To vanquish formidable ninja adversaries, you’ll need to grasp combat maneuvers and refine your kunai proficiency, thus crafting an exclusive fighting style.
Transition to a thrilling 3D environment where you can engage enemies and gather assorted items, all while amplifying your abilities using the extraordinary “TYPE 0” enhancement equipment. However, be cautious as each activation of “TYPE 0” will diminish your vitality.
Once you’ve completed the leaders in AUZA, you have the opportunity to engage in competition with players worldwide by challenging them in the Score Attack mode.
On November 28th, Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins, which is currently available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, will be released on Steam as well. This PC version will be published by Rainmaker Productions and developed by G.rev at a cost of $19.99.
