Shruti Haasan recalls using a fake name to not get associated with her parents; ‘I had this identity rebellion…’

Shruti Haasan has steadily earned fame and respect on her own terms, through dedication and personal achievement, even as a child of famous actors. Lately, the star known for Coolie has disclosed a period in her life when she opted to use a pseudonym to distance herself from her well-known parents.

In an interview with Bangalore Times, Shruti expressed her thoughts on the fleeting nature of fame in everyday life. Regardless of its associated grandeur, she firmly believes that it’s transitory rather than everlasting.

The actress openly admitted that being the daughter of renowned actors during her upbringing allowed her to understand the notion of celebrity. However, this experience also showed her that fame was unrelated to her on a personal level. To underline her individuality, she opted for an alias at one point, providing people with a genuine impression of herself, rather than merely seeing her as the offspring of her distinguished parents.

Shruti explained, “Being the child of well-known parents, I experienced a type of identity conflict. To ensure others viewed me independently rather than in relation to their fame, I adopted a pseudonym.

After observing the dedication of her father, Kamal Haasan, who tirelessly worked late into the night to excel at his craft, Shruti came to realize that relying solely on fame to build a career is futile.

Ever since I’ve been following Shruti closely, she’s always made the news, not just for her impressive career and illustrious family history, but also for the swirling rumors about her personal life. This actress, who was once in a committed relationship, is currently single, and as an ardent fan, I can’t help but speculate if we might one day see her walking down the aisle.

Previously, during an interview with TopMob, Shruti expressed her preference for maintaining a romantic relationship over choosing marriage and fully dedicating herself to a partner.

Yet, she also mentioned that while she doesn’t plan on getting married at the moment, she can’t definitively say no, as there could be a unique individual who might alter her perspective in the future.

In terms of her career, Shruti is getting ready for the movie “Coolie,” featuring Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It’s also been rumored that she will resume her role in the eagerly awaited follow-up, “Salaar 2.”
